What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it?
Never thought of this before. I M scared of height, can not see down the high rise buildings
But had done trekking in the moutains in J&K and Himachal Pradesh. Have walked through paths which are at quiet a height on mountains but never felt scared.
It is not that I do not complain at all. Life is a mix bag of situations. Someone hurts you or wrong you , then it is genuine . Instead of complaing to others, talking to concerned person is better. It may or may not solve the issue. If that is not happening then asking for help becomes necessary. That is not complaining.
Sometimes we talk to our close people just to get it out of our system, it does not mean cribbing. There is a thin line between genuine reason and complain. We have to decide based on our perception.
Write about a few of your favorite family traditions.
Family traditions are mix of old and new. It is interesting to see how activities of one generation passed on to the next become traditions and connects them.
We use to sit for hours near the window of our dinning room drinking tea, laughing and chatting. Now I do the same with my son, sharing coffee at our favourite coffee house and talking for hours. The conversations are treasures of momories we make together. I am sure he is going to do the same once he has his own family. It would become a tradition.
Moving from dining room to Coffee house-tradition of Togetherness continues
(My son is 23 years old now but my buddy since his childhood. I believe in soul connections, and this one is deepest of all. )
As a family We always celebrate our special days at midnight, 3 of us exchanging wishes and greetings.
Hindu festivals like LOHARI, MAKAR SAKRANTI, NAVRATRI are very special because there are rituals associated with them which are traditional handed over by older generations. I believe that when we perform them, then only our children would understand the importance and preserve them. Every tradition has roots in logic and we have to make our children understand , so that they carry forward.
“Traditions do not change but may evolve with the changing times. They are always relevant, no matter what times we are living in “
What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?
If the weather is good, love going on long walks on the beach. The silence and the gentle sounds of the waves are so therapeutic, i always come back rejuvenated
If it is hot summers then reading a book and music. Love watching documentary related to nature
It is a vast subject and can be written at lenght. But just a few points which comes to my mind .
Leadership is a trait which is multidimensional. Goal setting and a clear vision to achieve it is prime quality of a leader. There is a marked difference between dictator and a leader. The people who respect their subordinates and take them along are respected by others. Discipline and time management are the finer qualities of leadership.
If you could un-invent something, what would it be?
Every invention has been beneficial for the mankind till it has been used within limits. Over exploitation is the problem.
So instead of un-inventing, things should be used within limits. Mobiles, internet, AI etc are good tools and have made life easy. It is entirely up to the people to use or over use.
Clutter is not only what we can see or touch . This is one word which holds much deeper meaning. Most of the people do declutter their homes / offices or other spaces where they spend time, once in a while.
But what about our inside spaces?
Over the years we accumulate so much in our memories. It is not just the unpleasant but also the pleasant thoughts or incidences which needs to be emptied. We can choice our own ways and means to that. It helps to lighten our emotional bagages.
