Physically and mentally, each one of us is unique. Any culture which, in the interests of efficiency or in the name of some political or religious dogma, seeks to standardize the human individual, commits an outrage against man’s biological nature.” – Aldous Huxley

It isn’t a matter of forgetting. What one has to learn is how to remember and yet be free of the past.” – Aldous Huxley
Indian comedian dies while performing in Dubai – News | Khaleej Times

I did not know him, but when I read, it saddened me and at the same time reminded of the vulnerability of our existance.
His friends paid rich tribute to him, he may have touched many with his comedy and People would always remember him with a smile. That is what our life is all about. Isn’t it ?
Breath is what we call -Life
We nurture our dreams, plan our future even retirements, old age and what not. And in pursuit of our ambitious goals, hurting not only the people but MOTHER EARTH too.
We are quick to anger and fight but one sorry may take lifetime, with some it doesn’t come at all.
Each and everyone of us know that EXIT is clearly marked, only uncertainty is WHEN ? Then why fight, argue or claim ownership of things which we did not bring with us or will take with us.
Honestly I fail to understand why say hurtful words or be angery, when we have much better choice . To Be pleasant. Be polite. Be humble.
Makeup when you still can
Say sorry when you still can
Heal the wounds when you still can
Hug your loved ones when you still can
There are infinite reasons to LOVE them
Not one to hurt them
Do it when ?
That time is right NOW

Why can’t we keep it simple
Today the most commercialized word is ‘Spirtuality ‘
The boards with ‘Yoga’, ‘Meditation ‘, ‘Happiness’, Peace’ etc are mushrooming promising teaching everything from good health to love and what not.
The society we have created in the name of development and progress is catching up now. We are living in fear , which is root cause of all insecurities. And that fear is being exploited for commercial purposes and in past few years the word ‘spiritual’ (which was the way of life earlier) has become an industry.
Kabir dass a great Indian saint (there have been many like him) used to recite bhajans and share his wisdom with everyone freely, now people pay to listen to the wisdom of famous speakers.
When it changes with the surroundings
Why
We want to learn ‘happiness’?
When that is inherent in ever being
Why
We want to learn ‘Gratitude ‘?
‘Seva’ is our moral obligation
Why
It has to be an organized activity ?
We are born with abundance of ‘LOVE‘
Why
We have to pay to learn what we were born with?
We have come here to experience life as it is
Why
We are running from one Guru to an other to seek it
Instead of being powerful and abundant
Why
Today we are so helpless and vulnerable ?
Listening to Spirtual Masters and life coaches for guidance helps to clear our thoughts and inspire us but choosing the path and walking is an individual responsibility. A genuine Guru only shows the direction and leave his seeker to find his way, but sadly Today it is as difficult as find a real pearl

Introspection -life or plastic ?
We , humans, are creatures of convenience and in that process often get ourselves into unmanageable situations .
How slowly the menace of plastic came into our lives and is now a threat to our very existance. A small example :
I remember as a child we use to take our own bowls to buy milk or yogurt/curd
Then
Came the bowls made of leaves for yogurt
Then
The white plastic bags
Now
The packed containers with plastic lids and plastic bottles
Everyone welcomed the replacements and happy to be saving time (by not waiting in queues)
Relevant to mention here that those milk shops used to be the first meeting point most morning, from exchanging the plesantries to politics to cricket to sharing few laughs and jokes. Fresh morning Air and a morning in the bargin
Today the question is :” Is the damage repairable?
A few suggestions
– we can try to go back making curd at home like our mothers/grandmothers
– using of clay bowls by the mass manufacturer. ( experimental and possible if will is there?
– avoid small packs
The plastic not just around us but inside us, now is the time to INTROSPECT and ACT

Inspiration-Creative hands
Age is limitation of mind
Passion is bound by imagination
Imagination creates Art

Dr. Padha an intense learner
For me inspiration is not found in the books or idealism of known names. It is in the extra ordinary people whose daily routine is an example for others. Exploring, experimenting and innovating not only creates Artist , also the world of harmony.
Would like to share with you life of someone, who in his view is very ordinary, but for the people who are associated with him in any way (friends, relatives, neighbors) his simplicity and disciplined way of life is worth to follow.

At age of 78, when most people feel that they have nothing to learn or share, here is a man who is multi talented and still learning. He is into wood sculptures , mostly miniatures, a self-taught attempt. Bonsai is one of his interest and he has good collection of these.
Dr S. P Padha ,a medical professional ,an eye specialist ,retired as professor from Medical College Jammu. He lives in Jammu , INDIA. His childhood was spent in a small town of rural background, nothing like extra curricular activities or hobbies during those days.
When I asked him what lead him to learn pottery?
In his own words “ I was often fascinated by artisans like blacksmith and Potters giving shape to objects. I came in contact with Sh.Suman ji a couple of years back and became morning walk buddies. I learned about pottery workshop being run by Ms.Jyoti ji (Suman’s wife) at Blue River Cermics pottery centre With my interests in different art forms, I attended one of her workshop as an observer. Fascinated by the running hands on that wheel my creative instincts and their encouragement lead me to try my hand on Potter’s wheel. Jyoti ji is a very patient teacher which made me to learn about basics of pottery.”
Wood sculpture
It is not just the art but he keeps himself update with the fast moving world of wi-fi and technology. His views are that Internet is a great help in dissemination of information and knowledge.
His simplicity, humble and disciplined life is a message of encouragement for anyone looking for a mentor.

“We are the hands of potter
We are the clay
We are the wheels
And
We are the result too”
