One of the saddest day called Martyrs day (commemoration day)
The day nation remembers their heroes
Their sacrifices and their bravery
Defending the innocent lives of fellow beings
The young lives paying the price
For hate and anger of few negative individuals
Like everyone else in this world
They had dreams in their eyes
Some purposes to achieve
Some relationships to embrace
To love and be loved in return
Let’s Pray for the peace to prevail
May the thoughts be changed for better
May the world be a place to LET LIVE
May there be no Martyrs anywhere
Our youth contributing in progress
Spreading love and happiness
Through their ideas and innovation
Their hands holding prosperous future
Not the guns and ammunition to defend

Today it’s Quadrille at dVerse, with Mish hosting. The poem has to have exactly 44 words. The word that has to be included in the poem is “rock”.
Lying with my eyes close
Surrounded by the high rocks
Feeling the birds soaring high
Hearing music of quiet streams
Fresh Air kissing my hair
Magic unforgettable
Reality a harsh desert Sun

I am never lonely thanks to my friends :
The Stars
The Ocean
The Sky
The Sand
The Air
The River
The Trees
The Flowers
The Springs
The Rain
They Embrace me unconditional
With my Weaknesses
With my strengths
With my Truth
With my Silence
With my Empty hands
When I dissolves in Gratitude for their existence my creative thoughts are born.

Walking slowly looking at the burning Sun over the head, my throat dry, even the saliva was no help. As I moved forward my thoughts traveled backwards to incidences where I had thrown a near full water bottle after coming from school, a half filled glass into the kitchen sink or let the bucket overflow.
Suddenly I heard the familiar sound and hurried up my steps. There it was clear, sweet and sparkling. With tears of gratitude I quenched my thirst. That day I realized the fragility of life.
Bowing, I pledged never to waste even a drop.

Each of my adornment from my bindi on forehead to my payal on my ankles is a celebration of my womanhood. This post is dedicated to Sola Shingar (sola means 16) on festivals of Karvachauth
Bangles adoring my arms
Are not just an ornament
The music it creates
Is my companion whole day
A solace that I am not alone
When I work on the fields whole day
When I do household chores
While my loved ones are away.
(Credits Pooja Bishnoi)
Mehndi adorning my hands
Is not just a custom to perform
It is a blessing of love in my life
It’s intricate patterns so beautifully drawn
Yet neither have a start nor an end
Just like the cycle of life
