TODAY……

Every day has a set pattern. It is our thoughts which make it good or bad. Everything is an individual perception.

Unfortunately TRUE

It is said before, and being said today but are we listening ❔❓❔

Every time I see people paying rich tributes and sharing Memories of the loved ones /friends/acquaintances who have left the earth and moved on, it reminds me of a famous punjabi saying . It means that when people are alive you are not much bothered but the moment someone dies, he/she becomes focus of your existance.

When we are going through rough patch, the reality hits. Curtsey visit or offering help is almost obsolete in todays world as all of a sudden people act too busy. Even a phone call is a big favour and most of the time instead of asking welfare of the person, they would make you realise how busy they are.

Only few stand by and genuinely help you in your difficult times. These are the times to reflect and take a stand on who stays and who goes out. So that when we leave the earth, there may be few but they would be genuine grievers.

Whispering thoughts

The secret is well hidden Why should I worry ? Someone would take away My treasures And leave me with nothing The hurt caused by betrayal The wounds that never heal Are the result of carelessness And the vulnerability let the thoughts whisper to you Not even the wind can listen The peaceful silence of friendship With self would stand till the end.

Sharing a powerful and thought provoking message of MOHANJI-GURUJI

Every child, every baby born in this world is the responsibility of the society, not just of the parents. And society has to groom them. Society has to behave well. In a world of corruption, in a world of competition, in a world of comparison, how do you expect each child to be individual and free? It is very difficult. That is what we are feeding the child with!

The child is fed with the thoughts of comparisons, thoughts of competition, thoughts of success and success means failure is unacceptable. All these things have created the child in a mode which emphasizes – “Go and kill and win”. This is what we are teaching children.

As I said earlier about our nursery rhymes, “Humpty dumpty fell down and broke the crown…” That was a disaster and nobody could fix it. Hence, we are telling a child, “You can’t fix the life, it’s not easy to fix life.”

But that’s not true. You are life. Life is about what you see and what you express and everybody is fine.

I have suggested in many forums that we need to have many more counsellors in schools, just to understand children, be with them. Teachers and parents are busy. Sometimes they are not able to complete even their work. So, there should be a system of counselling. Just ask questions like, “Are you alright? How are you doing today? Is there anything you want to talk to me about?”

What I mean to say is that we don’t understand what the children of the society are experiencing. We assume that everything is ok, everything should be ideal; these are assumptions. Assumptions may not be the reality. We must face the reality. We must look into the eyes of the situation. Then you can understand. And if you try to strengthen the children of today, society will be much better tomorrow.

It’s our responsibility, everybody’s responsibility, not one person’s responsibility. And there is no magic wand to change the whole thing. We cannot change in one day, what we created over time. You need to cultivate change and that will happen over time.

Time to contemplate

Experiencing BLISS

Radha Krishna Mandir
Saketri Panchkula

My recent visit to a GOSHALA near famous Mansadevi temple in Panchkula, India triggred so many thoughts. In the same complex there is a Radha-Krishna temple. I had an opportunity to spend sometime there. A satsang was going on. A group of ladies were singing Krishna Bhajans. There devotion was so pure that whole place was vibrating with it. Some of them were dancing also. Whole atmosphere was filled with simple devotion and unconditional love. I stayed there for half an hour or so , but the feeling of profound peace I carried was lasting.

These ladies may have come from nearby homes after finishing their houshold chores. It was hot and there was only fan to give some respite from the heat. That neither bothered or distracted them in any way. Dholki, bells and other instruments synchronized so beautifully with their voices, the harmony and vibration simply transported me to another world

The golden tradition of women ( daily routine in olden days) going to nearby temples and performing KIRTANS, singing bhajans is still preserved in villages and small town of India. No I was fortunate to have experienced the PURE BLISS and PEACE in the most simplest form of bhakti.

Sunset-Sunrise and in between

Every Sunrise culminate into Sunset, then the Sun rises again

There is light, energy and power to guide us through the daytimes. But when Sun goes down and all is dark that is the difficult time.

If we are strong and grounded in our dark hours, that makes us a better person. And we appreciate the Sunrise again.

Anger- A Pollutant

Lately I have been thinking a lot on the LOVE Affections, respect, positive thoughts etc. and at the same time anger, hate ,abuse and other negative behaviors.

Are there any institutions or places where anger, hate or abusive language is taught??? To best of my knowledge NO. Then the question is “From where people learned”?? The likely answer is it is inherent. And also from the environment in which a person grows. Or hordes of other reasons and excuses to hurt one’s relations and the society at large.

My question is -if anger was not taught, and a person choose to be anger then why love has to be taught? Why a person can not express love and generosity towards others naturally?

The funniest part is the wrongdoer justified his/her behaviour by puting blame on others. There is no excuse for shouting or loosing one’s temper no matter what the situation is. “I am right” attitude is the output of inflated EGO and nothing else. It is not obligatory to agree on everything, but there are much better and nicer ways to convey one’s thoughts or view.

We talk about so many types of Pollution which is threatening our planet and generation to come. What about the Pollution caused by anger, violence, abuse, disrespect, hate etc caused by insensitive beings.

In today’s world, one of the biggest exploition of society is in the name of teaching Love. Degeneration has come to such s level that centres and institution are mushrooming to show the path of love and harmony, How can Love be taught ? It is omnipresent like other natural elements.

Love or anger both are there with us till our last breath. We only have to choose between the two as expression of our behavior.

Family – A blessing

In the pin drop silence i hear my breath My heart beat so loud Sitting in a corner my eyes closed Meditative stillness To dig deeper in my soul

To my amazement I hear and see all around me The laughter the cries Sometime angry sometime loving The faces of my loved ones Smiling at me

I open my eyes instantly And await eagerly For return of the chaos That is my family PEACE is not in silence It is in the loving presence in the world called “HOME,”
