What one number changes ?

Everything would remain the same on our calendar except for last numerical.

So what is so special about the New Year Eve ?

A reason to celebrate. The big thing about resolutions and goals to be achieved, how long they last.

The people who did not have time for you yesterday, would still not have it tomorrow. The reason is that they are self occupied. So the people who stood by you or for you yesterday, would be there tomorrow also.

Life is about priorities. Every year is a mixed bag , with all the spices to make our journey worth to remember.

Walking 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️from 2022 into 2023 my sincere gratitude for the ones who held me tight when I needed the support. ( The list keps get shorter with each passing year)

In the rush to be successful Today everyone is running Putting reminders to drink water Apps to count the steps Flashing it as achievements What have we come to❓❓ Where are we heading to ❓❓❓

An app to count the breathing That day may not be too far

A hug and a kiss limited to the emojis A message of condolence sent living in the same city What have we come to ❓❓ Imagine one day lying still Waiting for your farewell Messages of condolences flooding kins phones With a busy emoji and folded hands

The Soul ready to Ascend Awaiting the final rites The family in turn waiting The arrival of friend and relatives

Would be leaving the rest to the reader to conclude

P S : The technology is for saving time, social media is to express your thoughts. In times of need your presence is important ( if you are at commutable distance). Inquiring on whatsapp is an insult to the morality.

I am a firm beliver of being present at loved ones side in times of need. That may be the reason my dependable circle is shrinking with the passage of time

The agony, the fears, the fights Suffering of the weaker ones Nothing has changed much

Pandemic to war What have we gained ? The people uprooted from their homes

It is painful to see unsafe social medias The constant fear of parents Children vulnerable to exploitation

The violence on the streets The insecurities of young girls Has this year allied their fears

Collectively we have to rise To protect and preserve And make difference in 2023
