Caged helplessness

Enjoying the sights of  caged beings

Have we ever thought how they feel

In their limited spaces

Restlessly pacing

Restricted  movements

No free will to roam

Eating  when and what given

No springs, lakes or rivers

To drink water or bathe

Removed from their natural habitats

Taking away their right to live as they please

The look of despair  and helpless

Says their tales

If  only  they could speak

I am sure would express

Their wish to be free

As they were meant to BE
